RCCC Junior Racing

The summer criterium season has arrived.

This season is shaping up to be the best season of criterium racing in many years.

Together, Roues Chaudes CC (RCCC) & Peel District CC have loaded the next 16 weeks of the calendar with club racing. Courses will vary from the popular Bayswater circuit, RAC driving centre to the various Peel Industrial circuits we know and love.

Something new and exciting is the addition of a club criterium points competition. Each grade will have an accumulative points table with overall winners announced at the seasons end. The juniors will be eyeing off points for grades C, D & E whilst also competing for their own awards (more below).

RCCC have established two junior only grades to race on the Bayswater Circuit. Junior A & Junior B will provide a great racing atmosphere for first time and novice junior cyclists whilst the A grade category will facilitate a battle Royale against the top juniors in WA.

I will be reporting on each round of the RCCC junior criterium competition in addition to commenting on any notable performances by all juniors in the open grades. At the end of the season the following awards will be presented on behalf of Jets Junior Cycling & RCCC. There will be prizes!

  • Junior B cyclist of the season

  • Junior A cyclist of the season

  • Most aggressive rider award

  • Most improved rider award

  • Jets community award

Thanks for reading and let the season begin!
